General Terms and Conditions for Booking Seminars and Conferences

§1 Scope of application
The following General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between the participant in seminars and conferences (hereinafter referred to as “event”) and Agentur-IBE. Any deviating general terms and conditions of the participant shall not apply.

§2 Registration/registration confirmation
You can register via the Internet, fax, e-mail or telephone. Your registration will be confirmed by our reply e-mail. Written confirmation is legally binding.

§3 Performance
The participation fee is per person and event date plus statutory VAT.
It includes conference documents, (1 x lunch, festive evening dinner, all drinks and snacks during breaks and presentations). Agentur-IBE reserves the right to replace announced speakers with others and to make necessary changes to the event program while maintaining the overall character of the event. If it is not possible to hold the event due to force majeure, the inability of a speaker to attend, disruptions at the event venue or insufficient numbers of participants, the participants will be informed immediately. Cancellation due to an insufficient number of participants shall be made no later than 30 days before the event. In this case, the event fee will be refunded except for an administration fee of € 350. A claim for compensation for travel and accommodation costs as well as loss of working hours is excluded.

§4 Due date and payment, default, offsetting
The participation fee is due upon receipt of the invoice. If the participant defaults on payment, Agentur-IBE shall be entitled to charge interest on arrears at a rate of 5% above the prime rate (Section 247 (1) BGB) per annum. If Agentur-IBE can prove higher damages caused by default, these may be claimed. In the same way, the participant is entitled to prove that no damage has been incurred at all or that the damage is significantly lower than claimed by Agentur-IBE. Payment shall be made on account. Invoices as PDF. Payment by sending cash or checks is not possible; Agentur-IBE accepts no liability in the event of loss. The participant may only offset claims that have been legally established or recognized in writing by Agentur-IBE. The participant shall only be entitled to exercise a right of retention to the extent that its counterclaim is based on the same contractual relationship.

§ 5 Travel expenses & overnight stays
Any accommodation services and travel costs are not part of the event. Agentur-IBE supports the booking, but expressly does not act as a tour operator.

§6 Copyrights
The conference documents are protected by copyright. Reproduction, distribution or other use of the conference documents is only permitted with the express written consent of die Agentur-IBE.

§7 Liability
The events are carefully prepared and conducted by qualified speakers. Agentur-IBE assumes no liability for the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the conference documents and the execution of the event.

§8 Applicable law, place of jurisdiction and place of performance
German law shall apply to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. To the extent permitted by law, Hamburg is agreed as the place of performance and jurisdiction.

§9 Right of withdrawal for consumers
You have the right to cancel your registration in writing within 7 days of receipt of the registration confirmation without giving reasons. Cancellation fees will not be charged. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send the revocation to the following address in good time:

This right of withdrawal does not apply if the booked event has taken place and the participant has taken part in it.

§10 Change of program

Changes or deviations of individual congress services from the agreed content of the congress contract which become necessary after conclusion of the contract and which were not brought about by us in bad faith are permitted as long as the changes or deviations do not have a significant effect on the overall character of the congress and do not change the character of the congress.

§11Data protection
Agency-IBE protects your personal data. Agentur-IBE will treat the data provided by the customer confidentially. We use the data collected in the context of the order and use of our offer within the applicable legal limits for the purpose of providing our services and to send you information by post and e-mail about further offers from us and our partner or group companies that are similar to the services you have previously used. If the data is transferred to countries without an adequate level of data protection, we provide sufficient guarantees to protect the data. We also use your data if you have given us your consent to do so.
